The latest issue of Japan Review is a special issue on Global Samurai, guest-edited by Oleg Benesch and Rosina Buckland. The issue is an absolute beaut, and the journal would like to thank the artist Noguchi Tetsuya for permission to use two of his wonderful paintings as the cover for the volume.

The volume forms part of the research project which fed into the Special Exhibition on Samurai at the British Museum. It collates the first ten of these pieces, together with an expansive Introduction by the guest editors.
