The EAJS Japan 2025 Conference was held on 19-20 September at Tohoku University. The editor of Japan Review was in attendance as a member of the EAJS Council, and as a participant in a Japan Foundation Roundtable on journals and publication. Entitled “Publishing Pathways: Enhancing Opportunities for Emerging Scholars in Japanese Studies through Global Netwoks,” it featured Tomotsune Tsutomu of the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and Karl Ian Cheng Chua of the University of the Philippines alongside the editor, Ted Boyle, and the session was expertly moderated by Andreas Niehaus of Ghent University, president of the EAJS. The session was extremely well-attended and featured the panellists responding to many queries raised by the audience.
